My pleasure Dave, you and any other list members are welcome to stop by
anytime. BTW, I pulled my interior this week to install new carpet,
which went in pretty good. Bought some parts at Jeg's, and while I was
there, investigated their sound deadener for under the carpet. It would
cost $75 to do less than the $28 in deadener I got from an upholstery
shop. Padded up behind the back seat, too. While the interior was out, I
spray-dyed the seats and door panels black over the original green. This
is a temporary fix till I can get them re-upholstered. I used some paint
I got at Auto Zone and it worked great! My wife says it looks like a
different car inside. Driving down the road last nite I was VERY pleased
with how much quieter the car is now. I went from bench to bucket seats,
and the 4-spd console I had was missing the carpet from one side. I cut
an old piece of green carpet from the rear that I was removing, glued it
onto the console, and sprayed it black. You can't even see the green OR
the joint. I would recommend the spray dye, easy to use and looks great.
Sorry for the long post.
