Pure scam. Don't bother with those crooks again & pat yourself on the
back that you trusted your instincts, notified the police, and did not
send the grill.

The scammers used a common tactic of people trying to separate you from
your money.

When these schemes first started happening to the old car hobby (all
makes/brands) I posted a "Scam Alert" notice at the top of the '62 to
'65 Mopar Swap Meet Page.(
http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/swapmeet2005.html )

There's also some links to other sites "Read More SCAM Alert
Information!" and "Internet Fraud Prevention Tips" posted at the top of
the Swap Meet Page.

I also point out that scam warning in the e-mail I send to someone
confirming that their ad is online at the 62-65 Swap Meet.

The ol' "Buyer Beware" saying apples to cyberspace too.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
