for whats its worth, i ran 4" backspaced 15x8"  on my 65 Belv II with  
275/60 15 tires.
that fit with room to spare, i think you could go to 295s.

in the 63 its an inch narrower(is that a word) and the same tires  
really should have a 3.75 to 3.875 backspace.  its rather close to  
the leafs with the 4" BS.
