I just bought historical plates for my Polara. They were about $26 and 
you only buy them once. The drawback is you're only supposed to drive 
the car to parades and car shows, but the DMV website isn't very precise 
on that. I figure if I get pulled over driving my car to work 
occassionally I can just say I'm going to a cruise-in later...think the 
occifer will buy that???
