My 64 NewYorkers and my Dads Newport had the A/C vents on the top of the 
dash.  Lay flat for defrost, kick up to blow at your face for A/C.  Cant say 
I've ever seen factory air on a 64 Plymouth tho.  My '56 Imperial had air 
that blew from the rear package tray forward.  There's a brain freeze!  As I 
recall, my '65 300 had dash vents.  Maybe thats when it changed.
