The "Crusher" angle is a good one...I mean the ultimate "recycle" is to rebuild and to reuse, right ? Even the energy used to make a more fuel economical rice rocket is a future liability...Perhaps it could be shown that to continue to operate a "re-done" oldie is more "economical" in the long scheme of things than the total of energy used by all participants to make a "new", more acceptable to the tree huggers, vehicle. Both aluminum and plastic are huge energy users...the first in the electirity and the later in petroleum base. This would be interesting......
