n 1963, I had a 1958 Plymouth with a factory 350 Big Block (predecessor of the 361) and dual WCFB carbs. It had a cast iron torqueflite. That car was one of the fastest on Telegraph and Woodward. I finally replaced it with a 426 street wedge in 1965, and passed it off as stock at Detroit dragstrip. My point is that a 361 should run very well if prepped right, but you can never replace cubic inches.
