Ok...here is more info.....When I bought the car, the owner said that he had
started it up several times and drove it around his shop. I tried to start
it yesterday and it turned about a quarter turn then locked. I believe that the
motor had been in good shape but am thinking that there is surface rust in
the piston chamber and/or the crankshaft is dry. There is plenty of oil in the
crankcase but am at a loss to why it will not turn. The motor is not blown
up and the miles...is around 89000 miles.
I wanted to get the motor running so I could install it in another 63
Imperial that the body is in great shape.
Hope that helps.
David
