My brother is rebuilding a 1964 273 and wants to put a more recent aluminum 4bbl intake on it. I know the head-intake bolt angle for '64 and '65 is different than '66 and up LA engines, and I've heard that you can drill out the holes in the intake to make up for it, but I can't find any real info about it. Does anyone know more?
Is this something you can do without a drill press? Do you have to make the angle more vertical or shallower? You should use larger washers on the bolts, right?
