Interesting that your friend thought stage 2 too much, myself on my '65 
Coronet 500 thought 2 not bad at all.  This is probably a situation where 
individual preferences rule.

I wonder now if some folks would feel like the 3 level would be about the 
same as manual effort.....making paying for a 3 useless.....
