Thanks. I believe in 1962 the tail light burnout will cause the 
instrument cluster lights to not light. I sorta remember reading that in 
the '62 FSM. I'll recheck the FSM tonight.

In my case, stepping on the '62's brake pedal *does* result in the brake 
lights working.
