Congratulations Curt! That's one sweet and rare ride. Stroke that poly, baby. 402" of mopar muscle. B5 is a nice shade, close to the dark blue poly of '65.
Gents, I picked up my Satellite in Wenatchee without any problems. I found out it was last driven in 1980!! I have found no rust out in it ANYWHERE!! Several small indentations here and there but nothing serious. Color is tan inside and out (blah!) (but that will change!) I intend to go with black (Legendary) interior and probably Mopar B-5 TrueBlue Poly exterior. I have a set of Appliance Mags (Crager look alikes) that are in nice shape that I'll put on it in the meantime. It will be a "back burner" project (while I finish up my '64 Cuda) and I'll be gathering up parts and pieces in the meantime. Any other '65 Plymouth (B body) owners with suggestions, info and parts, please feel free to contact me at my email address.
I have a nice '65 Imperial with a 413 (only 81,000 miles) that I'm tempted to pull the motor out of for my Satellite, but I really HATE to canabalize a clean 2 dr Imperial Crown Coupe to do so..............
I also have a good running Poly 318 with only 89,000 miles I pulled
out of my 64 Polara (photos on this website) that might be a better
plan. With a 4 barrel, mild cam, and aluminum valvecovers (from Gary P) it
would sure look and run great!!
Decisions, decisions, decisions.......ARGH!!!!
