RE: max wedge hood / tilt steering wheels

Hi Gang,
A word from the last refuge, I have a '64 Chrysler Newport HTSW and it has a
round wheel.
I save pictures from cars on eBay as restoration references to aid in the
restoration of my cars All the Newport's have round wheels. Now if you
want to see '64 Chrysler New Yorker (Oblong/square steering wheel) HTSW TO
DIE FOR, go to www.kngoftheroad.net and scroll down to the '64 Wagon. The
text doesn't mention it, but I think it possibly also has a tilt wheel.

I have a tilt wheel on my '64 Dodge Cust. 880 HTSW and if you look carefully
at the picture of the New Yorker, the turn indicator is pointing to 9:30;
there appears to be a second lever pointing to 8:00 o'clock which is where
the tilt lever is on my Dodge. Beautiful, beautiful C body.

You are correct sir ! I do miss my '64 New Yorker. I was thinking back
when the discussion about tilt steering columns was going on about the 2 '64

NewYorkers I had, and the '64 Newport my dad had. (all 4dr hardtops). The
discussion brought up the shape of the wheels. I know my cars had the
oblong wheels, but I could swear my dad's Newport had a round one. None of
these cars had tilt wheels. Can anyone confirm this, or am I mistaken?
