My kickdown did not work either until Doug Baker checked the tightness of the throttle cable. It was "not quite" tight enough. Pedal on the floor should have full open throttle. If I remember correctly, here is what we did: Disconnect the kickdown and check the throttle cable tension. Leave the kickdown disconnected and push the linkage all the way back. The connection point to the kickdown should snap onto the fully opened throttle. Now I get all the performance I can expect from my 313. regards, K.
