well crap, i guess that fuel had to get in there thru the rings, so maybe i better check the rings too. As to the Mr gasket set, the price was cheap, I am not particularly worried about gaskets other than the head gaskets, but i just dont know who makes good head gaskets for the 273 or what material they should be of. the kit was cheap enough( 37.00)/jegs) that even if I need to buy different head gaskets i am still ahead of the game with all the other gaskets. i hate cars! neal zimmerman, eugene oregon On Sun, 12 Nov 2006 03:49:55 EST, "Ted Albin" <albinted@xxxxxxx> said: > > > hi > copper showing is bad, getting fuel in the oil. i think mr gaskets valve > cover gaskets are the best but couldn't say about the rest of their stuff > cause > felpro took over. i suspect mr gaskets kit may be better all the way > around. i > think blowin oil out the rings is way far better than puttin fuel in the > crankcase. i got a defective set of rings from sealed power that had the > bezel > almost half way across the surface in several but not all of the set. > blowby > was huge; the bezel was standard in all but three or four of the rings > which > were extremely far off. i didn't catch it. i still have the rings in my > tool > box because im retarded and need physical evidence to show. > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > ---- > Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- > directly to that person.
