Electronic Speedometer

I am considering replacing the gauges in my 64 Sport Fury 4 speed with some 
more modern ones including a a set that comes with an electronic speedo. To 
use this requires a pulse generator that replaces the speedo cable and gear 
assembly. My question is, has anyone done this before? if so what pulse 
generator did you use ? Would a late model Mopar generator possibly work? Any 
thoughts/help on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
