well, i didnt want to come out and say it, but its a Brand X and I dont have any parts for chevies, its a 1959 Chevy Brookwood stationwagon and the guy will sell it for 35 dollars,it doesnt have an engine and one axle is missing. I just need to figure out how to get it out of there. this guys story is SOOOOOOOOO sad, hes got thirty years of gearhead accumulation at this old farm out in the sticks, and he is moving, so it all needs to go before the buyer will buy it, so he needs to clear everything out, clearly a case of bad planning, too many gearhead dreams, and procrastination, hes got dozens of old cars out there, and hes so backwards, I dont even think he knows what Ebay is,, so sadly the whole lot will probably end up getting crushed, for pennies , > > > > theres also the fact that in the 30 years hes lived there trees have grown up and cars that were once accesible arent anymore, and the weather has turned here now, so nobodies gonna drive out in the sticks and waste their whole weekend trying to yank an old car across a sheet of mud with a come-along, maybe except for a real nut- bag ( smile). The guy must have been quite the gearhead in his day, hes even got a barn out there with an oil change pit in it. and hes mainly Mopar, but more 50s, early 60s stuff, not in to muscle cars. If I had a large warehouse , I would buy it all from him, some stuff is too far gone, other stuff is restorable. the 56 plymouth 2 door wagon is definitely cool. He also has a 1965 383 fury two door , "100 bucks" he said. i was out there yesterday too, and there was something kind of sad to the whole thing, the falling leaves and cold fog didnt help and i felt rather melancholic as I drive down his gravel road. neal zimmerman, eugene oregon -- http://www.fastmail.fm - And now for something completely different? ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
