actually my buddy and me figured out that one way around all the rot in the c-pillars is to just make it into a 2 door wagon, that way u can cut out all the rotten c-pillar and door opening down to the rockers and just weld in 2 door quarters and jambs. I have everything i need to do that, so we might do it. it would really be the only way to save that car. i know its butchery to some but its either that or the crusher. the rear door openings are crunchy as a cookie. I took a little hatchet to them and with hardly any swing just crumbled them all out we thought the super cool thing would be to then turn the two door wagon into an AWB, now that would be something nobodies ever done, a two door altered wheelbase station wagon, i bet those big long side windows would pop right out onto the ground when she hung a wheelie. PS- but the funny thing about this car is that for all the c-pillar rot, the floors and spare tire wells are solid as a rock. PPS- I got the other one home today, so now i got two wagons sitting side by side in the shop, looks pretty cool neal zimmerman, eugene oregon -- http://www.fastmail.fm - I mean, what is it about a decent email service? ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
