I have never heard of this strap failing on a car due to this "weak point". Has any one out there heard of this before??

I had provided engine builder/installer with the Schumacher Services torque strap assembly, he said it was not a good design because it connected to a "weak point" on the block. So, sold it at a loss at Fall Fling.

Any comments on how best to strap down an RB block in a '65 B-body?
