Hello all, New to this group and Mopars, I had the fever all my life it just laid dormant for some years , just turned 33 and after getting shot at several times in Iraq , things dawn on you like . Hey my Dad and I talked cars back when I was a snot nose (1975 and on) , I remember sitting on the hood of his 71 Cuda (wish he would have left it for me) also remember getting my first feel of some nips in the back of his Valiant wagon when I was 12 : ) : ) So I jump on the chance to get my first Mopar and one , turns in to two then three and within 3 weeks I brought 3. All are black plate California cars that have never been hot rodded or rebuilt, a good friend of mine sold / gave them to me. I took care of him while he was in ICU a NHCP Naval Hospital Camp Pendelton old retired Marine . He has been tring to give me these cars for 2 years it may take me for every but I will do all of them one by one . 1964 Dart GT convertible (numbers matching) : ) : ) 225 Slant six (running) 1961 Fury Coupe all original (383 Super Commando # matching ) running needs brakes 1965 Coronet 500 all original (383) # matching ) needs rebuild . my question is the Dart , I will do the Coroent and Fury orginal but the Dart ?????? : 1. Can I drop a 440 , 318 Poly in it 2. Which one will work best looking to cruse / run 11's with it 3. Which on would keep it close to true back in the day street rod I want to do the Dart 1st cause top down = panties coming off : ) I am in So Cal station at NHCP Old Mopar car lover New Mopar car restorer.
