Jim,
I epoxyed  a 1/4-20 stainless steel flat head screw (cut to length) to  the 
front under side of my scoop. I then picked up a piece of aluminum tubing to  
cover the threads (cut to length). Shot the underside scoop with some paint and 
 was good to go. You can always go with a larger diameter.  I never had  a 
problem.
