RE: Voltage Regulator

I've been getting them from JC Whitney for about $10 but I can't find
them in their catalog any more. I stil have one of the boxes and it's a
REGITAR #C524. Also listed on the box are the numbers WELLS #VR706
(Autozone sells Wells) STD #VR101, BWD #R280, and FILKO #VR369HD. Year
One sells the same VR for about $30. (Got my first one from them) Unless
they've changed NAPA sells one that's very expensive but it doesn't look
anything like the original. Do not use the one that Mopar Performance
sells. It's for racing only and never shuts off and can overchage the
battery in street use.

They do suggest using an electronic VR if you change to electronic
ignition but I'm not sure it's really necessary. However I always change
the VR to the electronic type if for no other reason it gets rid of the
flickering amp needle and lights.

This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
