Re: What's a good-sounding 273 exhaust?

I have a 65 Barracuda with a 273-2 4 speed that a PO put duals on. Don't know what kind of mufflers, size of pipes, etc. but it sure sounds tough. After I get the new motor built for it (a genuine 273/235 horse motor), my plan is to do a Formula S exhaust system. The first time I heard one (a loooooong time ago), I fell in love with the sound.

I've enjoyed reading about the /6 sound, and it made me wonder what combinations of pipes and mufflers people are running on their 273 engines. Or maybe just the LA engines in general.

Mine sounds alright, it has some no-name sausage-shaped mufflers on it now, but I am curious about the possibilities. Is there a "classic sound" combo for MoPar V8's?

thanks!!
