RE: 64 Plymouth Sport Fury Brake lines

Gary nailed it. I removed the brake hose that runs between the axle and the
hard line that goes to the front of the car, pressed on the brake pedal, and
finally got some fluid out of the hard line. I always thought that hose was
just a hose, but I see by looking at it that it has some kind of bladder in
it. I'm on my way to the parts house to see what I can get to replace it.

I'm replacing all the hard lines with new ones as I go, so will have a
renewed system and now know something I didn't about my brake system. Thanks
for all the suggestions and tips.

The brake hose that supplies fluid to the rear cylinders probably is
collapsed inside, thus preventing fluid from squeezing past. Put a new rear
brake hose on and see. You probably should replace that hose anyway if its
age is not known.
