Re: redfining all

No, Whipper Billy was no relation. although I was called that by my grade 2
teacher and the school principal. WBW was noted for generosity - he gave a
good chunk of his winnings to various charities, especially children's.

By the way, the Canadian Dodge was priced to do battle with Chevrolet, Ford,
Meteor and the Canadian Pontiac. Thus the Plymouth interiors. The U.S.
Dodge was higher priced (comparatively) with the 1965 Dodge Polara priced in
the same market as the Fury III, Impala, Galaxie 500 and its main
competitor - Catalina. The U.S. Dodge was brought down market in 1970-71,
and for 1972 the Canadian market Dodge was virtually the same as the U.S.
(some trim and engine differences) with a Polara Special added at the bottom
(Fury I interiors).

Chrysler of Canada did not sell B bodies in Canada in 1965, although they
would import one for you. From late January into March Chrysler of Canada
went through a strike and began importing cars from Detroit. Plymouths,
Valiants and Chryslers were no problem, but the Valiant 200 line came across
the border as Darts while the C body Dodges appeared up here in their
American dress. Can still remember seeing a couple of American Dodge
Polaras on the back row of Penner Dodge Chrysler when my father purchased
his Dodge 330 (with slant six) in the summer of 1965. One only 1965 Dodge
Custom 880 sedan was imported, by the way - a 4-window sedan and not the
U.S. 6-window style. The only 4-window 1965 Dodge Custom 880 built. Wonder
where it is now?

this stuff in detail and have benifited greatly from his help and knowledge
. For me my big problem was the Canadian paint code which he solved for me.
I often think Galen who? We have Bill.
