Re: 1965 Satellite Transmission Question

Hi Gary,
That's what the guy at Imperial mentioned that the 65 trans was a one year only application and was the only year that had the rear slip yoke instead of the earlier style driveshaft. The case on the 65 trans has been cracked at one time and welded but it works just fine other than the mystery leak that I haven't been able to trace.

Also, the one-year-only 1965 big block transmission is a valuable piece,
getting scarce. You can sell it as is and someone with a pushbutton
Mopar can fully redo it, and be a happy camper. :)

Greeting fellow Club Members,
Here's the deal. I have a 1965 Plymouth Satellite with a 1974 440 engine
and a 727B Torque Flite. The transmission I assume is the original as
it's a cable shift. The shifter is a factory floor mounted shifter. I'm
fed up with the current transmission woes which include a leak I'm
unable to stop, a cobbled up throttle pressure linkage and just the
cable operation in general. ...
