better late than never

well guys, i have actually followed thru on a project to completion,
better late than never
. my 65 coronet 4 door to 2 door post clone is done. I have taken
it out for several spins and i feel so cool cruisin around in a 2
door post .... just the other day a guy started a conversation at a
stoplight with me , he didnt even know what the heck it was , he
thought it was a dart.
the project began around mid January of this year and i just put
in the final welds last week. My time table of having it done by June
15 kind of fell thru as my moms declining health took the final nose
dive and family matters and estate matters took precedence,
I have foto-documented the entire process step by step, and i hope
to figure out how Gary H. and I can get it into the tech archives for
anybody else that might wish to attack such insanity,
keep an eye out.
the problem i now face is that the car is so "rough and ready
looking", with true patina mixed with my blood, that i dont know if i
really want to put a nice shiny paint job on it and cover up all my
efforts. ha ha
