RE: Springs and such

Dear Bill:
I restored my springs and went to a furniture repair shop for some 2 1/2 inch hemp welting. It is very close to the original
canvas spring insulators. You can also get 2 1/2 inch, 20 gauge flat stock from your local commercial drywall/metal framing supply house, if your original interliners are worn out or cracked, broken, etc. I also had to make correct spring clamps.
None of the aftermarket stuff is right, but then again, the repro items are fine, and the rubber insulators are probably
much better in the long run.
