I had the same problem when I rodded my Packard and up dated the Master 
cylinder. What I did was to chuck up the little fitting and cut off an 1/8" 
of the shoulder of the fitting. It worked great. Seems the factory cuts the 
female threads alittle deeper than the adapter shoulder is!!! Ter409
