My buddy works in a Boat Dealership and I asked him what he thought, His
answer was Oh! We get that stuff all the time on our boats upholstery, He
says it is a mold, the cloudy white comes off easy but when mixed with some
black spots it can leave permanent marking. There are thousands of molds so
who knows what causes it.
