Aluminum grill restoration questions

Has anyone in the club had their '64 Plymouth aluminum grill restored?

Both my grilles are rough to the touch with tiny "sand blasted" pin holes. Not dents or dings, more like a dimpled texture. Is this grill restorable?

The starting price to restore a grill is $675. I don't see how stripping and re-anodizing will make the aluminum smooth.

Have you had a similar condition grill restored? How did it turn out?

Thanks,
Doug
