Electrical issue

Hey guys, the Dart developed an electrical issue on the way to the
Winter Classic that I thought was a carb issue at first. It would die
when I slowed to an idle and seemed like the throttle linkage was
dropping off the high idle cam. I swapped out the carb this afternoon
and the issue continued, so I did some more troubltshooting and
discovered any time I put a load on the electrical system...hit the
brake, turned on the lights, etc, the engine died if at an idle. I
haven't had any more time to work on it, but it seems to me to be either
the altenator is failing at an idle, or the regulator is going out. What
do you guys think?
