Most all 727s that I have ever worked with hold 9 qts including the TQ. I
alway jack up the back of the car so the rear wheels are of the ground.
Then start filling up the trans. Install 5 or 6 qts then start the car
and let it run a little bit. Add more fluid Start car and engage the
trans at low idle and go thu the gears. Check the fluid and add as
needed. Then makes sure that the trans has fluid where it is suppose to
be. This way you are not putting a heavy load on the trans untill it is
full. Just my way of doing it. Gary
