RE: Ballast Resistors and more



Bill,
I think that if you wire it like fig.1 and remove the ballast resistor 
from the circuit, both the coil and the Pertronix unit will run at full 
system voltage.  If you wire it like fig. 2, the Pertronix unit will run 
at full system voltage, and the coil will run at the reduced voltage 
from the resistor, which is normal for the vehicle.    Either way, the 
Pertronix unit requires full system voltage to work properly.  Someone 
please correct me if I'm wrong.
