Hi Jeff,If you're trying to use the bleeder plugs that came with the cylinder chances are that's your problem. I've never been able to get them to work and have much better results using the old fashioned fitting and tubing method to bench bleed the cylinder.

I just installed a rebuilt master cylinder in the 65 Dart yesterday and I can't pump the brakes up to bleed them. The old mc worked, but sometimes the pedal would go to the floor, then pump back up. Bled the brakes, no air, so I figured it was the mc. The new lone won't even pump up at all. Bench bled it per instructions first,no bubbles. Had the wife helping me. If I plug the mc with the supplied plug the mc will build some pressure, but as soon as I attach the line it looses all pressure. I don't seen any leaks and like I said, the brakes worked before. I'm thinking bad mc.....any other opinios? What am I missing? Thanks Jeff Adams 64 Polara ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
