In Aus we ran 3 45mm twin throat Webbers on our R/T 6 packs (6 cylinders -
Aussie have to be different.) with around 1100 CFM into a 265 cubic inch
engine. One throat per cylinder giving a lot more tuneability and throttle
response.
 
The result was over 300HP in a 4.3 litre 6 cylinder that broke most of the
records in its day.

Doesn't matter how many carbs you use as long as they are sized correctly -
and one throat per cylinder will always give far better performance and
tuneability (as long as you have the ability to tune them right).
