i had a 89 chevy truck that was very noisy on start-up with a fram filter / 
when i changed to hasting filters the thing was quiet . i assume the drain 
back flappers were bad on fram filters  .having said that i never had a 
problem on big block dodges  with fram oil filters .go figure
