tire size. If you use 70 series you can go to 285 70 R 15s




They fit in my wheel wellsand arepostiviely huge. Still 70 is just that much narrower but the height is higher . Everyone wants to know how i got them in there. 
BTW I am dou ing an 89 case rebuild right now for the 63. Had the crush sleeve probalm to but us old tradesmanhave a secret way of reusing them.  It aint pretty but it work perfect.ly. As long as you get the proper crush which determines the preload for the bearing. Since it is my prsonal car i have no trouble doing it but would not for a payng customer.  Styill I have done t for myself many many times in the last 40 years and have never not once ever had a problem.  Someone  needs to make a small rolling mill and uncrush the sleeves on a exchange basis. My uncrusher is know in the trade as a "Ford" Wrench.
