Thanks. That's probably correct. In '63 it must have been a dealer option.

Ron:

In my white book the 383 only came with a single 4 barrell from the factory. The 413 & 440 motors came with 2-4 barrell (probably max wedge motors) The 62 383 is listed as having 2 4's.
