RE: 63 New Yorker color

Isn't the vin the tag on the driver's door jam. & the data tag should be in the engine compartment on the driver's side fender, like a B body I think.

The color looks like Claret Poly (Ditzler 71345) which was a 1963 Chrysler optional color. so the paint is probably original.
