RE: Restored Fury for sale

LOL, no need to thank me, Sean, any Ebay buyer should be as impressed as I was, regarding your description. After having bought seven cars/trucks and numerous parts - about $20,000 worth - from Ebay sellers, it was refreshing to see an auction where the seller has laid all of his cards on the table, rather than leaving the prospective bidder to guess as to what has/has not been done.

A great example of a less than honest description would be my '56 Coronet. The description stated that the front floor pans had been done & it needed no rear pan work. Long story short, I'm in the process of cutting out the front driver's side - poor quality work, lousy welding - and will have to do the rear area, both sides, as the metal is paper-thin.

The only recommendation I'd make to you, Sean, would be to put the car in for a maximum period of time, with a strong "Buy it now" price. Let's face it, the perception of a weak economy in the U.S. is slowing Ebay purchases. Therefore, you have to wait longer to "catch a fish". At the same time, strict border requirements & a dramatic increase in the cost of living in Canada, is slowing Canucks, like myself, from being as active as we once were. Still, most of us recognize quality when we see it. It just takes us a little longer to pull the trigger, these days.
Mike
