Neal, Jeff Carter at JC Auto in Lynwood, WA, rebuilds all these old gauges. He rebuilt a 64 Mopar console tach for me and it works great. They are listed on the vendor page. /Butch/ Ferndale, WA -----Original Message----- From: Joey [mailto:jake4@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, August 24, 2008 8:10 AM To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: buying old tachs and gauges- smart or dumb Hi Neal, I have purchased a couple of old mechanical tachs from swap meets and then sent them out to be recalibrated. I can't recall right now the name of the company but it is located in Norwalk Conn, they rebuild and restore Jones mechanicals and the last one they did for me they even supplied a new Duffy's decal for the face, that has been some years ago though, I talked with a guy there who told me they own all of the Jones patents etc. I do have an old Direct Connection electric tach for tach drive distributors with the sending unit still in the box if you are interested. Joey Lemire P.S. The name of the company might Electronic Indicators in Norwalk, Conn but I can't be 100 percent sure. ----- Original Message ----- From: "neal zimmerman" <neal.zimmerman@xxxxxxxxx> To: "1962to1965mopars" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 24, 2008 9:56 AM Subject: buying old tachs and gauges- smart or dumb > I have been scanning ebay for old vintage tachs and oil pressure gauges. > I have two old 440 dual point distributors with mechanical tach > drive take offs, so I would like to find an old mechanical drive tach. > I definitely want a mechanical oil pressure gauge as well. > Now everybody locally tells me to just buy new electric gauges, > BUT, I dont want to do it that way, I want to do it the hard way.
