 I went to the old car weckers here with a tape measure and looked till i found what I wanted for Bills car.
just so we understand and are all on the same page, it wasnt an attempt it was a cure.
And like i said before a bigger bottom will acomlish the same thing.  
Holes inthe sat although i have used smaller (1/8") does tend to stabilize the temperature for sure. Not as wide a swing between open and closed stat temp
