Re: 440 cooling

I also use a converted air conditioning condenser as my trans cooler along w/remote filter and gauge. Trans temp runs about 160-180 with my 3500stall 10" convertor and cammed 340.

Water temp is always where it should be.

I use an A/C condensor for my trans cooler in my '65 Coronet. No cooling at the bottom of the stock type 3 core radiator. My 496 stroker coolant temp is normally about 185-195. The trans has a 3800 convertor and never gets over 190. Temperature probe is in trans oil pan. Stock non-clutch five blade?fan.

Solved my cooling problems by removing transfluid from the radiator with an
trans fluid cooling fan mounted under the car. Live in the South with 95
degress plus for July and Aug.

Running a 2600 cu ft per minute electric fan and A/C and full flow 180
thermostat.
