Bill, I believe I used the 6 x 9 in my 63 Fury convert but don't forget the 62's and 63's have a different dash with that big speaker grill mounted in the front. Your 65 probably has a 5 x 9 or 4 x 10 in the top of the dash, you're going to have to check. I bought the speaker from a local hot rod shop who's a dealer for Custom Autosound and I don't remember the exact price but it wasn't very expensive.
Ok I just did an ebay search and here's a seller that has all 3 sizes and they're $49.00 each. That seems about right. Btw you wont find one listed for your Dodge because Custom Autosound seems to have no idea that their speakers fit Mopars.

Do you remember what the $ is?Thanks Bill M 65 Coronet 500 'vertOn Wed, Oct 1, 2008 at 12:37 PM, Dan McCormack <mcwheels@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:There is another option for speakers. Custom Auto Sound makes dual voice coil speakers that will replace the factory speaker in the dash. This is what I have in my 63 Fury convert hooked to a very cheap AM/FM stereocassette radio and I can't believe how good it sounds. They also make dual 4" and 3 1/2" speakers that are mounted in a framework to fit in the factorylocation of the single dash speaker. This is what I have in my 78 Dodgepickup which also sounds good but I think the dual voice coil single speakersounds even better. Anything more that 1 42 yr old speaker in the center of the dash would be an improvement!!!
