I just spoke to racer Brown today and they helped me with a cam for my almost done 440. I called Comp Cams earlier and the guy was so rude i just hung up. But Racer Brown was quite impressive, the guy on the phone ( his name was Jim) was patient , professional , personal and explained everything to me slowly. I am probably going to go with a street strip hydraulic from racer brown.. very reasonable at 215 dollars with lifters and lube. it has 480 lift and around 270 degrees duration. Not too wild but he said it will have a little crunch to it. I don't know, call me old-fashioned but i like to give my money to people that are nice to me. My motor sounds similar to yours, .030 over forged TRWs and about a 9.8 to 1 compression with the 906 heads. neal zimmerman, eugene oregon On 11/11/08, harry skalla <moweepea@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hi, I just called Engle, and gave them all the info. on the Engine and they > set it all up.... > Butch > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jack Cheek" <jcheek@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, November 10, 2008 5:10 AM > Subject: what would be the best cam > > >> >> >> hi all >> i sure enjoy reading the many thoughts that come on the web page here so i >> >> would like to get any and all thoughts about what might be the best cam to >> >> use.mostly street and very little strip use.motor will be a >> 440 bored .030 over. >> im trying to get close to 9.5 to 1 or 10 compression.im using max wedge >> top end and im almost sure that the heads are 80cc using flat top piston >> that are .050 taller and a .015 head gasket.none adjustable rockers.a >> hydraulic cam for sure.2800 stall convertor. >> thanks for every ones time >> thanks jack >> 63 polara 500 h.t. >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: Ollie <satellite1965@xxxxxxxxxxx> >> Date: Sunday, November 9, 2008 21:33 >> Subject: Re: Brake EMERGENCY >> To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx >> >>> >>> Don, will send you a off line mail.
