Re: Rhoades Lifters - Questions

They do reduce lift at the expense of being noisy. Just like NON anto pump up lifters. I have used them and rather annoying.

I have a 383 that has more cam than I like. It is just a street car. I
have been told about the Rhoades lifters that reduce lift at low RPM.

http://www.rhoadslifters.com/Pages/index.html

Is there any reason I should avoid them and consider changing the cam?

The 383 is a 1963, Rhoades listes lifters for 1968 and later 383, I
thought my 1963 and a 1968 should use the same lifters, am I correct?

Thanks for any assistance.
