Engine mounts

Today I received my Schumacher big block brackets. For now I am using the stock 318 cushions. This is in a 64 Dodge. On the right side the cushion locates about 1/4 inch from the edge of the bracket, but the left side  the edge of the cushion is near the center of the bracket and hangs over the front edge of the bracket by about 1/2.  Also on the left bracket there is  a slight bend in the surface the cushion is against.  Is this the way they are supposed to be?.................MO.............SW IOWA.
