Thanks Mike, I'll ask if A/C and non-A/C cars used the same radiator, I suspect they did but I have been told that A/C cars normally had a fan shroud. I think that you gave me exactly the information I needed and explains why with only 10 fins per inch I was having trouble controlling temperature.
