RE: A/C issue

Oh yes, the retrofit kit is $54, comes with fittings to allow the R134a cans to be feed into the original low pressure side fitting on the original compressor. The retrofit comes with a special ester oil that allows the conversion. The more expensive conversion is to replace all the A/C stuff with the Vintage Air or similar system. I have that on my '66 Corvette, it works great but is very expensive. On my '64 Polara 500, I just assumed it had been retrofitted and just charged it, using the adapter fittings that came with the retrofit kit. It took 1 can and low side pressure came up to 30 psi, and it is now very cold so problem solved. Thanks.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address.
